I purchased this for my iPad Mini 3. The case fit perfectly and works amazing with the suction cup mount. I have not tried using it as a stand alone kneeboard, but I am sure it would work great.

Comfortable. Nice comfort

I am a naval aviator and wanted a kneeboard to use in the cockpit that was practical and sturdy. Other products I tried were either cheap or difficult to use. This is the opposite! This kneeboard is exactly what I was looking for.

Some features I liked:
- a solid design suitable for flight ops. The entire screen is visible and easy to manipulate
- easy to take my ipad mini in and out of this case quickly, but sturdy enough to keep it safe in flight
- it comes with a leg strap that is well built and passes through the case (but is still removable)
- works with the standard apple screen cover to keep the screen protected when not in use
- mountable (even though I havent used this feature yet)

Cons
- How long it took me to find this case! I spent quite a bit of time looking online before I finally wondered onto this cases cousin on amazon. After visiting mygoflight.com I found this bad boy and am now a happy camper
- Just slightly expensive. Worth it when it comes to build quality and the flying experience

Over all, I would recommend this case to anyone who wants a high quality case that is perfectly suited to the small confines of the cockpit. I would buy it again for sure

This was the best iPad Case that met the following criteria:

- Sturdy and well made
- Mountable
- Kneeboard
- Multiple Configurations (w/o cover, mount, w/ cover, notebook, etc)

The only issue I have and is the reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the build quality is sturdy but there were defects out of the box. Paint marks on one back rail and the rubberized coating was peeling off.

Overall it is a great product and I would purchase again.

I used a mygoflight mount for a first edition iPad, and liked it a lot, especially the unique mounting system. I have an adapter attached to the center yoke column on my S Model Bonanza equipped with a RAM "ball". I found the bigger iPad too large for this location. I recently got an iPad mini, and it is a better solution in this location.
